The overall aim of this report is to better understand the experiences of racism, learn about the long-term consequences of racist attacks on members of the migrant communities, and to study the results of efforts by victims to obtain help and support. The experiences described in this report occurred in the workplace, on the streets and in the victims’ neighbourhoods. The starting point for this project was some initial casework undertaken by the Immigrant Council of Ireland (ICI) in support of people who had reported experiences of racism to its Racist Incident Support and Referral Service
